Having graduated Journalism School in the Netherlands (Utrecht, 2011) and a Master's degree in Asian studies in Sweden (Lund, 2015), I decided to move to Japan early 2015 to work as a freelance journalist in Tokyo. In Japan I write for several media organizations, both print and online. Some of the clients I worked for in the past three years include Dutch newspapers NRC Handelsblad, NRC Next, Financieel Dagblad, Trouw, Het Parool, Algemeen Dagblad and Dagblad van het Noorden. I also wrote longer features for Dutch language magazines Quote, Revu and Humo. My work has also been published by English language media, such as Broadly, Vice, Strategy&Business, Risk Management or People Management Asia. If you need a fixer in Japan for a media project, whether it’s for a newspaper, a magazine, TV or radio, you can get in touch with me via the contact form.
